She had a knack for putting together articles that struck me as rarely being anything but quite interesting and constructive.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, I believe she has contributed to the acquisition funds of LACMA in the past, and her name as a donor is even attached to at least one of the museum’s artworks.

I hope the Los Angeles Times has enough sense to give as many freelancing duties as possible to Ms. Muchnic in the future, and that she’ll have the time and energy to keep doing what’s made her so valuable to the cultural scene. Otherwise, her absence in the local media will leave a large gap and make people like me very unhappy.
