Racism still runs deep in this country, just look what’s happening to President Obama. Remember the State of the Union address with Representative Joe Wilson’s “You Lie!”? or Newt Gingrich telling the MSNBC’s Rev. Al Sharpton that President Obama is “your boy”? and just this week, President Obama’s request for a join session of congress address was turned down by the Speaker of the House John Boehner. If you are just a black man, Kienholz’s installation is what reality is, it was true then and it is still true now. We must learn from our history or we will be forever damned!
